Hold the lighter with your middle finger and your thumb. Open by flicking you index finger on the cap. Turn the lighter upside down between your index finger and middle finger. Strike the flint wheel against the flesh at the base of your middle finger by apply pressure on the base of the lighter with you middle finger. Let the lighter come up on your middle finger and transfer it in-between you middle finger and index finger. The cap should be down facing your palm, press it down and close it against your palm.
